Register workplaces in radon precautionary areas or in a working environment with an elevated radon concentration
The provisions of the Radiation Protection Act and the Radiation Protection Ordinance on protection against radon in indoor workplaces apply to you if you
- are the person responsible for workplaces on the ground floor and basement of buildings in radon precautionary areas in the state of Baden-Württemberg or
- are the person responsible for workplaces which, due to their nature, may lead to an increased radon concentration or
- work as another person (third party) at workplaces in external business premises that have an elevated radon concentration.
As the person responsible, report your measured workplaces to the responsible regional council if
- the radon concentration measured there is greater than 300 Becquerel per cubic metre despite your measures or
- a radon concentration greater than 300 becquerels per cubic metre has been measured at the workplace, but no measures to reduce the radon concentration are possible. In this case, you must state the reasons.
Register your activity with the responsible regional council if you are working as another person (third party) at several registered workplaces on your own responsibility.
